Summary: The presence of hydrogen in natural gas mixtures, even at relatively low concentrations, can have a significant impact on the physical properties of the gas. Energy density, Wobbe index, speed of sound, thermal conductivity, and viscosity are each sensitive to the hydrogen concentration. Additionally, physical properties and the chemical reactivity of the gas may need to be monitored more closely.
