Natural gas from non-traditional reservoirs along with changes in gathering and transmission systems have resulted in diverse gas streams requiring more complex online analysis than in dry, pipeline quality natural gas environments. Additionally, LNG export has created new analysis requirements for natural gas destined for liquefaction facilities. This presentation will examine newer techniques being applied to obtain representative samples throughout these systems in both gas and liquid states, as well as advanced techniques for analysis.
