The Impact of Hydrogen Blending and RNG on Gas Measurement and Analysis
The injection of hydrogen and renewable natural gas (bio-methane) into the natural gas grid has a widespread impact on gas measurement and analysis. Conventional metering devices must accommodate lower gas densities and higher speed of sounds, while analysis copes with lower average energy densities and unconventional contaminants. This presentation will cover those subjects with the largest impact to most pipelines and distribution systems.
