2021 AGA Operations Conference & Biennial Exhibition

October 5, 2021 - October 7, 2021

Join Mustang Sampling booth No. 738 at the annual 2021 AGA Operations Conference & Biennial Exhibition plus Spring Committee Meetings in Kissimmee, Florida.  The conference is the natural gas industry’s premier gathering of natural gas utility and transmission company operations management.

Kevin Warner, Ph.D, Vice President of Mustang Sampling, to present
Renewable Natural Gas Preparation and Analysis for Virtual Pipelines:Renewable natural gas (RNG) from agriculture, landfills, and waste digesters is becoming a larger source of methane as demand for sustainability increases. Much of the produced RNG is stranded from pipelines and “virtual pipeline” transportation is necessary after adequate preparation and compression, similar to conventional compressed natural gas. The analysis of RNG is critical to balance and protect pipeline and other infrastructure. This paper examines new techniques and analyzers necessary to analyze RNG at the source including detection of moisture, siloxanes, sulfur, and heavy metals.

The Impact of LNG Feedstock Requirements on Natural Gas Pipeline Analysis: Natural gas used as feedstock for LNG liquefaction must meet more stringent requirements than those defined by interchangeability rules. Compositions are more narrowly defined for plant efficiency and safety. The situation is further complicated by a constantly evolving supply of natural gas, leaving end users more dependent on a broader range of analysis and blending techniques. This paper will detail techniques used successfully to meet tariffs associated with LNG feedstock headers.
