Charlie Cook will be lecturing about Measuring Hydrocarbon Dew Point, the Methodologies for determination at the 2019 American School of Gas Measurement Technology (ASGMT) on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, 11:00 am – 11:45 am CST. SALON F
The lecture will cover manual systems where an operator manually cools a chilled mirror slowly and visually detects the onset of condensation to automatic mirror chilling controls and sensors that detect the amount of light reflected by the mirror and detect when condensation occurs through changes in the reflected light.
While most water analyzers measure water content and then calculate dew point, Charlie Cook will also discuss measuring the actual dew point at the supplied pressure. This part of the lecture will focus around a spectroscopic approach that determines the dew point. The specific method uses advanced IR technology which is immune to contaminations and designed for remote operation at line pressure up to 2000psi.
