The Mustang® Dual-Sided RNG Cabinet is installed downstream of the skid and is designed for custody transfer measurement in compliance with Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) requirements. The system houses two independent gas chromatographs (GCs): one dedicated to the inlet stream and the other to the outlet stream. For custody transfer, the system measures critical constituents of concern, including H₂S, O₂, and moisture. This configuration allows plants to minimize sample runs by centralizing measurements at a common point within the facility.
The rear side of the cabinet is engineered to handle wet, saturated samples using the Mustang Biogas Sample Conditioning System. This section also provides sample conditioning for raw gas streams. The system is capable of processing samples with up to 6% moisture and delivering a clean, dry sample directly to the GC.
The entire solution is housed within an enclosed, environmentally controlled cabinet equipped with heating and air conditioning, AC and DC power capabilities, and multiple safety features. These include methane and H₂S detection, integrated with the Mustang solenoid shutdown panel. If elevated levels of methane or H₂S are detected, the system automatically isolates the affected area/sample, ensuring a safe operating environment.
