The Mustang® CertiThruProbeTM sample extractor is designed specifically for wet gas applications that damage the membranes in traditional gas probes. The CertiThruProbe incorporates a cylindrical cross-flow filter, creating less differential pressure across the membrane. A hollow Teflon filter blocks all liquid and particulates in the gas stream and allows a clean, dry gas sample to pass to the gas analyzer.
Based on the well-known Bernoulli Principle of Fluid Dynamics, the accelerated gas stream provides a direct path through the probe while leaving liquids behind. Continuous gas analysis of wet sample streams has always presented a challenge in the natural gas industry.
