New partner: Proton Competition with Mustang Sampling in USA2024 IMSA WeatherTech® SportsCar Championship
Ummendorf, Germany – Powerful alliance: Supported by its new partner Mustang Sampling, Proton Competition will race its Porsche 963 in the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech® SportsCar Championship.
“We’re delighted to have won over Mustang Sampling, a committed partner with vast experience in motorsports,” says Christian Ried, team owner Proton Competition. The innovative US company within the Natural Gas Industry (mustangsampling.com) is headquartered in Ravenswood, West Virginia.
“Our new partner, Mustang Sampling Racing, has been successful within the IMSA SportsCar Championship winning multiple Weathertech® Championships, Michelin Endurance Cups, and the Rolex 24”, continues Christian Ried. “We have ambitious goals to achieve in our first full season with the Porsche 963 within the Weathertech Championship. We believe this will be a profitable partnership and that Mustang Sampling is an excellent fit for our team.
The 2024 WeatherTech IMSA SportsCar Championship consists of 11 races in the United States and Canada. The season begins on January 27th with the world famous 24-hour classic in Daytona and ends on October 12th with the Petit Le Mans at the legendary Road Atlanta.
