RAVENSWOOD, W.V. (3 February 2016) – Mustang Sampling president Ken Thompson has announced the purchase of a Bill Patterson original painting to benefit the Austin Hatcher Foundation for pediatric cancer. Ken Thompson and his wife Brenda are the primary sponsors on the No. 5 Mustang Sampling Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototype fielded by Action Express Racing.
“When Brenda and I had the opportunity to purchase this Bill Patterson original we were absolutely delighted,” said Thompson. “We have the painting at our home in West Virginia that Bill masterfully created at the 2015 IMSA Night of Champions at the Georgia Aquarium, and this painting will make a wonderful addition to that.
“More importantly, we have children and grandchildren so the opportunity to support the Austin Hatcher Foundation for pediatric cancer was one we simply couldn’t pass up. The foundation continues to work hard to raise funding and awareness to erase the effects of pediatric cancer and optimize each child’s quality of life through essential specialized intervention beginning at the time of diagnoses and continuing throughout survivorship. We’re thankful to be a part of that like so many other people have been in the IMSA community.

Since 2006, the Austin Hatcher Foundation has provided services to over 60,000 families across 28 states and 44 hospitals. Much of the support stems from IMSA and the assistance of the teams and partners who help raise awareness and funding to continue providing services to children who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families.
