The Mustang CertiThruProbe sample extractor for wet gas applications incorporates a cylindrical cross-flow filter, creating less differential pressure across the membrane. A hollow Teflon filter blocks all liquid and particulates in the gas stream and allows a clean, dry gas sample to pass to the gas analyzer.
Based on the well-known Bernoulli Principle of Fluid Dynamics, the accelerated gas stream provides a direct path through the probe while leaving liquids behind. Continuous gas analysis of wet sample streams has always presented a challenge in the natural gas industry. Condensed moisture in the sample line can result in corrosion, measurement error, increased maintenance costs, and damage to the analyzer. The Mustang CertiThruProbe is available in 4”, 7”, 9” and 12” lengths to provide reliable protection of valuable analytical equipment from liquids.
The Mustang CertiThruProbe works in conjunction with many Analytically Accurate® products to provide an API 14.1 system.
