Abstract
The sampling and analysis of liquefied natural gas in traditional large scale custody transfer situations is well established as essentially defined in ISO 8943: Refrigerated light hydrocarbon fluids – Sampling of liquefied natural gas – Continuous and intermittent methods. As the LNG value chain has expanded to include broader applications, the requirements of LNG has changed based on the end use. Additionally, LNG feedstocks have become more diverse and will likely continue to do so as demand for renewable fuels increases. This presentation will explore the changing requirements of LNG quality throughout the value chain as well as methods and procedures to gather the information.
VSL organizes European Flow Measurement Workshop 2023
March 2023, National Metrology Institute VSL will open the doors of its brand new European Center for Flow Measurement on the Rotterdam Maasvlakte. In honor of the opening, VSL is organizing a multi-day event: the European Flow Measurement Workshop.
The event will take place on 28, 29 and 30 March 2023 at the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam (Walrusweg 5) and at VSL in Delft (Thijsseweg 11). During three days, everything is dedicated to measurement and metrology. Our experts will discuss the measurement challenges for the flow sector in more detail. An important topic, especially now that stakeholders throughout the supply chain are positioning themselves to tackle the Energy Transition.
