GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT AFMS

AFMS Short Course & Exposition is provided by the society at no cost to attendees.

The Acadiana Flow Measurement Society (AFMS) was started in 1965 by a group of pipeline and production personnel with help from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, now known as University of Louisiana at Lafayette. AFMS was chartered to advance the study of measurement, with the original focus being gas measurement, but has since expanded to include liquid and NGL measurement.

AFMS is a non-profit organization; all proceeds are used to provide measurement training, scholarship opportunities to college students interested in fields associated with measurement, and cover the operating expenses of the society.

The technical presentations, training sessions and exhibit hall filled with industry vendors showcasing their products and services are available to all conference attendees at no charge.
