Solar Powered Pony® Heated Probe Enclosure

The Pony® Solar Heated Probe Enclosure is patent pending system designed to provide and maintain heat for the sample probe directly at the sample point with a remote mount Mustang® Sample Conditioning System (MSCS).

The Pony® probe enclosure is an integral part of the MSCS, developed to install between 6” center-to-center thread-o-lets.

Consisting of a molded, insulated, and weatherproof clam shell design, the Pony® probe enclosure provides easy maintenance with steel latches and chain to prevent loss of lid.  Construction selections include hot press glass fiber reinforced polyester or stainless steel.

The Mustang® Liquid Sample Pump (MLSP) is a patent pending system offering accurate and repeatable process control measurement for NGL applications. Sample pressure is increased to meet analyzer requirements and complete the transition to liquid phase in dense phase tower bottom streams.

The MLSP allows for the use of a liquid return to process speed loop when sample point pressures are equal to or less than return point pressures.

A completely pneumatic system eliminates the need for electrical classifications removing timely design processes and restrictions for installation. The MLSP becomes an integral component of a complete sampling system for problematic processes such as cryogenic tower bottoms.

The Mustang® Sample Conditioning System (MSCS) ensures optimal performance of gas analyzers by delivering a heated sample through patented technology to the analytical device.

The Mustang® P53 Natural Gas Sample Conditioning System and Pony® probe enclosure are integral parts of the MSCS. The Pony® probe enclosure installs between 6” center‐to‐center thread‐o‐lets in close proximity to the remote mounted P53, allowing efficiency in any environment.

The gas sample is heated inside of the regulator, housed in the P53 unit, before and after the pressure is reduced eliminating hydrocarbon liquid condensation caused by the Joule‐Thomson effect during the pressure reduction.

The Mustang® Portable Heated Sampling System (Model 1) installs into a pressurized pipeline to extract, preheat, and regulate a gas sample with a Mustang® Heated Regulator (MHR), prior to reaching a portable analyzer.

The Portable Insertion Probe (PIP) installs directly into the pipeline, through a 1/2” or 3/4” full opening valve, utilizing a pressure balance technique. The MHR employs a pre and post heat method designed to prevent liquid condensation during pressure reduction.

The Mustang® Portable Heated Sampling System preserves the sample’s integrity from the extraction point to the analyzer.
