Mustang® Liquid Sample Pump

  • MLSP

    View post

The Mustang® Liquid Sample Pump (MLSP) is a patent pending system offering accurate and repeatable process control measurement for NGL applications. Sample pressure is increased to meet analyzer requirements and complete the transition to liquid phase in dense phase tower bottom streams.

The MLSP allows for the use of a liquid return to process speed loop when sample point pressures are equal to or less than return point pressures.

A completely pneumatic system eliminates the need for electrical classifications removing timely design processes and restrictions for installation. The MLSP becomes an integral component of a complete sampling system for problematic processes such as cryogenic tower bottoms.

RAVENSWOOD, W.V. (3 February 2016) – Mustang Sampling president Ken Thompson has announced the purchase of a Bill Patterson original painting to benefit the Austin Hatcher Foundation for pediatric cancer. Ken Thompson and his wife Brenda are the primary sponsors on the No. 5 Mustang Sampling Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototype fielded by Action Express Racing.

“When Brenda and I had the opportunity to purchase this Bill Patterson original we were absolutely delighted,” said Thompson. “We have the painting at our home in West Virginia that Bill masterfully created at the 2015 IMSA Night of Champions at the Georgia Aquarium, and this painting will make a wonderful addition to that.

“More importantly, we have children and grandchildren so the opportunity to support the Austin Hatcher Foundation for pediatric cancer was one we simply couldn’t pass up. The foundation continues to work hard to raise funding and awareness to erase the effects of pediatric cancer and optimize each child’s quality of life through essential specialized intervention beginning at the time of diagnoses and continuing throughout survivorship. We’re thankful to be a part of that like so many other people have been in the IMSA community.

“We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Continental Tire for their continued efforts to help benefit the foundation through Bill Patterson’s amazing artistic talent,” said Brenda Thompson, vice president of Mustang Sampling. “Hopefully through Bill’s beautiful art we’ll get a step closer to finding enhanced treatment and ultimately a cure for cancer.”

Since 2006, the Austin Hatcher Foundation has provided services to over 60,000 families across 28 states and 44 hospitals. Much of the support stems from IMSA and the assistance of the teams and partners who help raise awareness and funding to continue providing services to children who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families.

"We are so incredibly grateful for the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Thompson of Mustang Sampling as they joined Continental Tire in purchasing the Mustang Sampling original by Bill Patterson as a donation to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer,” said Amy Jo Osborn, President and Co-Founder of the Foundation. “Its campaigns like this that allow the Foundation to fulfill the mission to erasing the effects of pediatric cancer on children and families across the country."

About Mustang Sampling:

MUSTANG SAMPLING was formed in the 1990’s to address the void in the natural gas industry for creating and maintaining proper sample phase conditions in natural gas analysis systems.  Although basic heaters and electric heat tracing were in use, neither prevented the unwanted condensation of natural gas components near pressure reducing regulators where Joule-Thomson cooling occurred.  Mustang Sampling developed Analytically Accurate® products to maintain proper and stable gas phase from sample extraction at the pipeline through sample analysis.

What an incredible weekend of racing to start off the 2016 season!  Action Express' Mustang Sampling No. 5 Corvette and team really showed us what perseverance is in the 24 hours of racing at Daytona.  Though they may not have finished on top the real win comes from an amazing team dedicated to excellent communication and unequivocal quality of service... creating a reliable machine from the beginning and having the knowledge, skill, and ability to remedy a situation quickly and efficiently allowed the No. 5 to still finish 4th and start this year off with confidence!

We're feeling very motivated here at Mustang Sampling to sponsor a team that aligns so well with our values for you, our clients!  See the No. 5 race next at Sebring, FL on March 19th.
